Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Drone Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for various missions, including surveillance, mapping, and technical demonstrations. You will ensure that all flights are conducted within regulatory frameworks and meet high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Safely operate multi-rotor or fixed-wing drones for assigned missions (Surveillance, Logistics, or Mapping).
- Pre-flight Checks: Perform thorough inspections of the UAV, batteries, and ground control stations before every flight.
- Mission Planning: Plan flight paths, check weather conditions, and ensure airspace compliance (Digital Sky/DGCA regulations).
- Data Collection: Capture high-quality aerial imagery, videos, or LiDAR data as per project requirements.
- Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of drone hardware and software.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed flight logs and provide post-mission briefs to the technical team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) from a DGCA-authorized Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in flying drones (Micro, Small, or Medium categories).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with flight control software (like Mission Planner, QGroundControl, or DJI Pilot).
- Safety Mindset: Deep understanding of "No Permission, No Takeoff" (NPNT) protocols and air safety guidelines.
- Communication: Ability to coordinate with ground teams and local authorities if required.
- Physical Fitness: Willingness to travel to various field locations and work in outdoor environments.
Nice to have
- Experience in Drone Assembly or basic C++/QML knowledge (for custom drone software).
- Expertise in Photogrammetry or GIS software (Pix4D, Agisoft).
- Previous experience in Defense or Agriculture sectors.
